YOUR YOGA EXPERIENCE
You can sign up online (click link above, or step below - this is the recommended way) OR just come in and desk staff with get you signed up. Please arrive 15 minutes before your first class. Note that TYS does not allow anyone that is NEW to check into their first class late. This is to ensure that you are you set up for success.
SIGNING UP FOR CLASS
Booking a class on MindBody (go to MB website OR use app on your phone) prior to class secures you a spot in class. Heads up: we find weekday evenings and weekends to be most popular.
Upon arrival, check-in with one of our desk staff who will get you everything you need for your first class.
WHEN TO ARRIVE FOR CLASS
Arrive to studio 15 minutes early to sign in and get set-up. Get settled in the room at least ten minutes early. Class starts right on time, so make sure you're on the mat before the door shuts. Out of respect for each others' practice, we'll be respectfully turning away latecomers once the class begins.
REALLY NEW TO YOGA - WHERE TO START
All our classes are multi-levelled, so you don’t have to worry about having much experience! However, we suggest you start with a MVMT or ALIGN class, to ease your way into your practice.
Drink plenty of water before, during and after your class. We recommend that you bring a bottle of water to class.
WHAT TO WEAR
Dress for comfort. We suggest a tee or tank on top and form-fitting pants or shorts on the bottom. Shoes must be taken off prior to entering the class room.
WHAT YOU NEED
Yourself & a Yoga Mat (MAT RENTALS available for $2). Recommended that you have a water & a hand towel.
All classes offered at TYS are designed for all skill levels. Simply find your own pace and comfort zone, do not overextend yourself. Our teachers are trained to encourage mindful adjustments when needed.
Yoga Room is a No Cell Phone Zone during class. Our studios have cubbies just for you! Please leave ALL PERSONAL BELONGINGS in cubbies (cellphones, keys, bags, shoes, etc). Only Yoga things in studio.
